Bharat Bhavan Foundation (BBF) was founded in 1984 as charity, to promote well being of community at large, particularly the less fortunate people of our society. This year mark 37 year of community service for Bharat Bhavan Foundation. Over the years The Foundation has maintained two social service centers (Park Ex and Downtown Montreal) for Indo-Canadian Community of Montreal and promoted communal harmony. The Foundation provides services to all members of the South Asian community and promotes non-discriminatory culture in the Canadian Society.

 Five Axis’s of Strategic Directions for Bharat Bhavan

  • Be the premier contact for resources and information about India
  • Primary source of research and advocacy about social issues affecting South Asian Community of Montreal and its surroundings
  • Provide integration and counseling services for new immigrants and small businesses
  • Engage in activities to promote the general well being of the society
  • Develop and sustain infrastructures to support the social needs of the community

In order to look after the wellbeing of the community and serve the needy people and meet the multi-facet and diverse needs of the community.

Our vision

To be recognized, by all levels of governments (Indian, Canadian – federal, provincial & municipal) and various social-service agencies, as the premier organization of Indo-Canadians in Quebec, in helping people from South-Asia, particularly new immigrants and less fortunate people of our society,  get proper access to government programs & services.

The Aims & Objectives

The Foundation is engage in educational, social, and cultural activities to promote and support Indo-Canadian way of life.

The activities and programs of Bharat Bhavan are funded by the generosity of Indo-Canadian Community, predominantly by financial donations by individuals and business people. No contribution is too small to make a difference. All charity contributions are issued a Tax Receipt

Bharat Bhavan Foundation offers membership with as little as $100 / year contribution. You may also join as life member by making a charity donation of $1000.
